Terms of Service for Curatimo

1. Description of Service

Curatimo is a social rating and recommendation platform that allows users to rate TV series, create watchlists, and share rankings within private, user-created groups (friends, family, or coworkers).

2. User Accounts and Authentication

To use Curatimo, you must create and maintain an account authenticated via the supported sign-in method(s) provided by Clerk. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and any linked third-party accounts. Curatimo is not liable for any unauthorized access to your account resulting from compromised credentials.

3. Acceptable Use and Conduct

Curatimo is designed to be a fun, collaborative environment for trusted groups. By using the app, you agree not to:

• Harass, bully, or discriminate against other users within your groups.
• Post or submit any content (including future reviews) that is illegal, offensive, or violates the intellectual property rights of others.
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise the security of the Curatimo application or its database.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules, at our sole discretion, without prior notice.

4. Data, Privacy, and Intellectual Property

Your Data and Anonymization:You retain ownership of the ratings and watchlists you create. By using Curatimo, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display this data within your chosen groups. Furthermore, you grant us the right to aggregate and irreversibly anonymize your data. We reserve the right to use, sell, distribute, or analyze this anonymized data for any commercial, statistical, or research purpose, present or future, without restriction or compensation to you.

Our App:The code, design, algorithms, and branding of Curatimo are the intellectual property of the Curatimo developers. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or distribute the app without explicit permission.

5. Limitation of Liability

Curatimo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive to keep your data safe and the app running smoothly, we do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or that data loss will never occur. Curatimo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

6. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Curatimo service at any time. Furthermore, we reserve the right to update or replace these Terms of Service at any time, at our sole discretion, without prior notice. Your continued use of the application following the posting of any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
